This was suggested for a datacenter 2019 install. As a NIC it is fine, adding more than 1 virtual it seemed over taxed.

Works great in opnsense

Added to a free machine I had for opnsense. Fit in the pci slot was off, but that was probably more due to the case. It fired up and didn't have any issues. Happy with the results.

Stable

I bought this card to replace a Realtek I was passing through to my PFSense VM. The Realtek would occasionally have a "watchdog timeout" error and take the network down until the host was rebooted. The new card has more features and has been running my network 24/7 for the last couple months with no issues.

Having Intel NIC's for compatibility

Useful for expanding port availability for projects such as routers, firewalls. Throughput speeds are excellent.

Solid Performance for pfSense/ESXi

I am using this card in a new ESXi 7.0 host. I had zero issues with it being recognized and it's performing great. I also recommend this as a solution for the pfSense users out there. I ended up going with an already available i340-t1 but this would have been an easy choice in that instance too otherwise.

Works great for a good price

We've been using these cards instead of the Intel version because they use the same chipset and are SO much less expensive. We've had no failures and the operate identically to the Intel originals. What's not to like?
